Sweet summertime

After a big rain shower cooled things off a bit the other day, we went outside to play in the wet grass. We have been enjoying everything (except for the mosquitos, who send out a memo and have a feast as soon as I walk out the door) about summertime. There's wet bottoms after playing on the dew covered swingset early in the morning, and running through the cool damp sheets that are freshly hung on the line, and gathering fresh food from the garden for dinner, and playing endlessly with the boys next door, and taking walks with wonderful friends who live right around the corner, and enjoying all of the goodies at the local farmer's market (which even Libby loves going to), and having a refreshing lunch with more friends who live down the street. Summertime is about playing until you are breathless and sweaty. It's about the stingy itch of bug bites. And it's about filling your cup so full of love from friends and family that it will last you all through the cold winter months.

And, as it inevitably does, it's about taking a much needed break to lighten moods and reenergize bodies.

Oh my gosh, look at those cute faces. I had bald babies too! I miss that. How is that amber teething necklace working? I could never really tell if ours was affective or not, but it didn't really seem to make much of a difference.

I love the black and white picture of your big boy :) He's so hip with his necklace on - is it working still?
Libby is beautiful. I'm glad you all are enjoying your garden and summer. Beautiful descriptions!

Oh my goodness! I love your blog, Kendra! It's like being noticed by a movie star!! (wow, that's a lot of exclamations=) )
There for a while I didn't think anything, including the necklace, would work until his teeth would come through. Now I think it was more due to all of the beans I was eating upsetting his tummy. He is doing a lot better now, and though he is drooling constantly, he isn't as crabby. I can definately notice when he hasn't worn the necklace for a few days, so I do think it is working.
Jessie, we miss seeing you and Elli. Are you enjoying your visit?
