Never once did I ever walk alone

I have posted this video before. It is one of my favorite songs. It's called Never Once, by Matt Redman. If you have read through our story of a marriage ripped apart by an affair and redeemed by God that I posted earlier in the week (part 1, part 2, and part 3), you may see that this song is special to me with new eyes. It sums up everything that I have felt about God in regards to my marriage, our separation, and the struggles that we went through prior to the affair, during, and afterwards.
If you don't have time to watch the video, I also posted the lyrics below that you can read. My heart shouts out that He is indeed faithful! I have never EVER walked alone.

 Never Once, by Matt Redman

Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we’ve come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You’ve done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we’ll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Oh, dear friends, He is!

Wow! I read all of the parts and am humbled and amazed by your faith and by your journey. What a testimony, this is definitely something the Lord has led you through and I agree with your decision to share it. I cannot imagine everything you have worked through (and I hope I never will!) but what a comfort to others experiencing similar things. Blessings to you and to your marriage as it continues to heal!

I read thru your previous posts about your marriage and found myself relating personally o what you were saying because my own daughter went thru a similar situation when her 4th child was just six weeks old. SHe chose to stay with her husband and allow him back into their lives. I've always thot how courageous she was and still is...how she could get past all that. Praise the Lord that he is faithful and gives us the strength to do the impossible.

Secondofwett, I am sure it was very hard for you as your daughter's mother to see her going through so much pain. I know it was difficult for my mother. I'm glad that she and her husband were able to reconcile. To God be the Glory!
