Pause

Sorry, no picture so far for today. We have stayed indoors with locked doors and windows today. Earlier in the day, a man abducted a woman in Columbus (2 hours away) and then stopped for gas at a station right down the road. The woman escaped the car and ran in and called the police, causing the man to flee on foot straight into our neighborhood. The last we heard he had made his way across town, but we've not had any updates as to whether he has been captured or not. If we make it out later today, I'll share pics. If not, you'll have to wait until tomorrow.

While I take this pause, I would like to ask something of you. If you take the time to check out my blog, I would like to know about you. Could you take a second to tell me who you are, where you live, and what you fill your day with? My inquiring mind wants to meet you. Thanks!

Hey Megan:-) I read your blog. You know me:-) My days are filled with babies, baking, fall leaves, and trying to fit in a project or two. Oh, and lots and lots of cleaning up! LOL

Hi Megan, You know me also, I'm Nan, Bella, Kane and Max's grandma. I check your blog often and enjoy it very much. Love to see pictures of the kids. This week my days are filled with the grand kids, others are filled with church actives and gardening and other house related things. Last week I painted my living room, next I hope to do the bathroom.

Okay, I just posted my comment twice, then deleted it twice :-). Ooops. Let's try again...
I read your blog and I love it!!! Somehow I feel like, in the craziness that our lives have become, reading each other's blogs gives us a connection into the other's life on those days we don't have time to pick up the phone. But it is no substitute - I love talking to you! My days are filled with love, laughter, hope and joy. Oh, and household duties, like finishing my apple and pear butters (YUM!), and keeping the house decent enough to host our next Knitting Group meeting! See you Monday!

Thank you friends. In all the times we talk on the phone with children screaming, crying, falling, in the background, we do sometimes forget things. It's nice to catch up on those through blogs.
Nan, it was good to see you at Bella's birthday party, as always. Libby asks about you often (and Pap slightly less so, she still hasn't gotten over him yet, I think).
And Mama, you're right. Even in talking every day, there are things that can't be said like they are said in pictures.
