~4~

If you knit, I am betting that for you, Fall means knitting! It is the end of the warm weather where all you want to do is touch some cool cotton, and now you want to cozy up next to some warm wool. I recently taught myself how to knit, and this is my first project beyond playing around with different stitches. I am making a scarf for Libby, and while I am discovering that I got a little carried away on my cast on and it will be too wide, it is turning out rather lovely for my first thing knitted. I plan to add some flowers of different colors on the ends as soon as my friends in my knitting group teach me how=) I love to sit down with my children playing at my feet, a hot cup of peppermint tea beside me and my knitting needles in my hand.

Do you knit? What ways do you feel like creating this season?

I just started a new knitting project myself. I was craving a knitting project and was happy to find a long forgotten about skirt pattern and yarn that I had bought before the boys were born. Let's hope I still can fit into it!!

Kendra, I look forward to learning enough to eventually be able to do something more difficult than a scarf, or even read a pattern (I am just doing my own pattern on the scarf). From my (limited) experience with clothes from before children, as soon as I can fit in them again, I get pregnant;)

Um, yeah, I totally need to go to the next knitting group meet, because I have a sweater for Jools birthday that I have about 4 rows done on....I think I'm going to have to make it for Christmas!

I am sure you will knit that sweater out even before I get the scarf done. I look forward to seeing what you are making. Our group meets in a few days, so hopefully I will have a lot of the scarf done so you can show me how to make little flowers on the ends.
