~2~

Around here, Fall means football. Not just any football. Buckeye football. You can enjoy the beauties of the season all week long, but on Saturday, you are in the house sitting in front of the television watching the Buckeyes (or knitting, as I was doing today). One of the first things Libby said was "touchdown" (I think in her one year pictures that I took she was doing the arms up "toughdown" signal) followed by, "Go Bucks!" and "Brutus". Yeah, it's like that.

How about you? What does Fall mean in your family?

Fall is also my favorite season, although it never lasts long enough. I love the colors, driving by the markets and seeing their displays of pumpkins and mums is so pretty! And of course the leaves.Halloween is one of my top holidays. As for our family, it means football, football, and more football! Good thing I love it! Deciding what to cook on Sundays to watch the Steelers play, not going to the lake and being home together more, and school! Oh, and no more air conditioner! Open windows, yay!

You're right, Dawn, this season never lasts long enough. We sure are getting lots more of it this year than we did last year, though. I don't remember the last time I had our air conditioner on. And the leaves are so much more brilliant this year already! I am just smitten.

Autumn is my favorite, too. I love the weather, the leaves, the smell, the smell, and the smell. Did I mention I love the smell of Autumn?!?

There are not many things that smell better.
